Director of Sourcing/Purchasing

Immediate opportunity for an experienced global sourcing manager with "feet-on-the-ground" sourcing experience in Asian markets to develop a strategic purchasing organization in a growing division of a global industrial equipment manufacturer. Experience in sourcing various mechanical and electrical components for industrial applications such as mobile equipment, machine tools, material handling systems, paint or assembly line equipment, hvac equipment or similar for a smaller to mid-sized company or division is preferred. Manage growth, change and improvement of strategic and tactical purchasing operation in multi-site environment.

Heavy travel (50%+) to Asia required, especially in early years.

Requires a BS in Business, Supply Management, Engineering or similar combined with 5+ years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
