Job Title: Manager, Supply Management/ Fuel Manager

Job Description:

This position offers the opportunity to be creative in structuring and re-structuring new and existing purchasing systems to take advantage of opportunities tin competitive purchasing situations. The constant change in the petroleum industry affords opportunities for decision-making that has immediate impact on the bottom-line profits.

Lead, develop and operate petroleum supplier strategies.

Deliver cost effective solutions for company's 4oo million gallon diesel fuel requirement.

Work with internal customers to establish fuel cost models and replenishment programs.

Optimize inventory and distribution network of 30 common carriers.

Directly support all company field operations and vehicle maintenance shops with overall responsibility to deliver cost savings.

Directly report to the Director.

Establish competitive costing for all petroleum products though a negotiated schedule process.

Establish and/or control concise attainable goals and objectives for products and suppliers.

Education/Experience/Skills/Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or Finance: MBA preferred

Minimum 5 years in Purchasing exp required; Petroleum Purchasing a +

Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence

Ability to solve problems independently, quickly, and completely and communicate solutions clearly to Senior Management

Proven interpersonal, conflict management and communication skills in working with internal customers and external suppliers

Familiarity with contract terms

Thorough understanding PC utilization including database tools: Excel, Word, and Power Point; must have at least basic knowledge of Access

Exceptional analytical skills; process thinker and creative problem solver

High degree of focus on customer satisfaction, attention to detail and quality orientation

Demonstrated project management skills a must with a cross-functional team.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Travel Required: 20%
