Job Description
Set strategic direction and support staff in the development,
implementation, and execution of supply chain processes in support of
business and supply chain objectives
Manage Mangers who are responsible for managing planners & project managers
who create and achieve production/purchase plans and schedules in support of
goals & objectives
Enables effective S&OP/Operating Reviews by garnering cross-functional
participation and helps facilitate decision-making process on cross
functional & divisional issues. This includes highlighting division critical
issues to Senior Business Leaders
Accountable for optimizing inventory turns, service levels, and
profitability
Sponsors, and may lead, cross functional teams in support of strategic
initiatives both within the supply chain organization and across the
business units
Responsible to provide management, finance, and business with inventory
budgets/projections, service level issues/opportunities, revenue
constraints, and issues impacting cost/profitability
Works with supply chain org, order management, sales & marketing, product
managers, manufacturing, suppliers, distribution centers and third party
logistics provider in support of business objectives
Responsible to identify and resolve business issues impeding achievement of
goals
Job Requirements
Excellent leadership skills including sponsoring/leading projects with broad
scope, cross functional nature, and an impact outside own department while
promoting teamwork between departments
Complete, in-depth understanding of all aspects of the business and supply
chain strategies including total delivered cost, profitability, inventory
turns and service levels
Excellent communication skills (with staff, peers, and upper management) and
ability to develop rapport with other functional leaders inside company and
Supply base to influence decision making
Ability to do analysis of tradeoffs between business objectives - ability to
think systemically
Embraces change, challenges status quo and makes recommendations for
improvements to products and processes. Creates tools that help simplify job
tasks and shares these with others
Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of,
others in sensitive situations
Supervises, coaches, and develops others
Drives results through team leadership and self
Strong problem solving, negotiating, and presentation skills
BS in Business related field with minimum 10 years experience in supply
chain/ operations management field.
MBA and APICS Certification preferred.
Percent Travel Required: 10%
