Senior Specialist, Sourcing
Description
Key
member of the Sourcing & Alliance team providing assistance in the
acquisition of goods, equipment, or services. Demonstrates technical
procurement knowledge of commodities/services pertinent to sourcing team.
Works with Manager and Principal in the execution of the a disciplined
Strategic Sourcing methodology
Assesses customer needs, provides technical procurement expertise to
customers in the acquisition process, receipt of goods and any other related
issues
Qualifications
Works
collaboratively within Sourcing & Alliance Management team, Purchasing
Services and Key Stakeholders.

Facilitates the establishment of Sourcing Teams comprised of key
stakeholders impacted by Sourcing Event

Drafts Sourcing Event Charters, complies market intelligence and prepares
kickoff meeting materials

Manages Sourcing Event Project Management Process including updating
timeline and deliverables

Coordinate all aspects of the bidding process including, pre-bid/proposal
meetings, walk-thru(s), bid openings, bid tabulation and bid reviews.

Manages all aspects of the bidding process including, pre-bid meetings,
postings, Q&A, etc.

Compiles and communicates Bid Summary Results

Responsible for all aspects of the contract management documentation
process

Secures all necessary legal and risk management approvals associated with
Sourcing solutions.

Coordinates the supplier performance evaluation process (Business Reviews)

Assist Manager and Principle as needed with contract start-up activities

Monitor supply markets and conduct market intelligence

Ensure current and continued compliance with all regulatory requirements,
policies and procedures both internally and externally to the Institution.

Achievement orientated, decisive, team and customer oriented, strong
communicator and innovative.
Bachelors degree in engineering, environmental or business related field.
Minimum of 3 years in strategic sourcing, contract management and supplier
relationship management
