Procurement Manager for Global Supply Chain
Corporate Operations Department
Summary:
Responsible for managing the Purchasing Department to ensure a smooth and
effective flow of materials at the highest quality at the best total price.
This position oversees and coordinates purchasing activities at multiple
sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily.
You will need to have prior experience and a demonstrated successful track
record in negotiating contracts and purchasing finished goods, raw
materials, packaging and sterilization services, equipment and supplies in
the medical device and heath care industry
Develop and maintain an effective international supplier network
Seek and review bid proposals and negotiate and manage contracts within
budget and scope limitations
Align quality and engineering specifications for goods and services with
company requirements and the abilities and capabilities of approved
suppliers
Publish supplier performance metrics and hold formal meetings with top
Suppliers
Insure uninterrupted and sufficient supply of goods and services to meet
internal and external needs. Highlight actual and potential risks of
interrupted supply to allow implementation of contingency plans.
Comply with all Sarbanes-Oxley and FDA and Financial GAAP rules and
regulations.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation to insure that the Procurement
area meets current and future goals as business needs and technology change.
Education and Experience:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill,
and/or ability required for this position.
College Degree, MBA or equivalent is preferred
2-3 years supervisory experience
Minimum 5 years experience negotiating purchases and managing suppliers
Familiarity with ERP planning - Oracle preferred
