Commodity Manager – Castings, Fasteners, Engineered components

Major manufacturer of industrial/oilfield products employing over 2000 people world-wide has an immediate need for a Commodity Manager.

The position will interface with a variety of cross-function groups including project teams, manufacturing, logistics, quality, finance and various global units. The position will develop and implement strategies, develop and qualify sources, negotiate, draft and administer long-term supplier agreements for global procurement of castings, fasteners, engineered components and other assigned commodities.

Responsibilities will also include managing strategic supplier relationships. Develop and implement plans for year-ever-year price productivity. Compile data and metrics for assigned commodities.

In order to be considered, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, have a minimum of five years of experience in a sourcing function, have demonstrated knowledge of strategic sourcing processes and joint supplier process improvement opportunities. The candidate should also possess strong analytical problem solving ability and the availability to make infrequent overnight travel, including international.
