synopsis
The HR&PS
Function has underground a significant transformation over the last year
evolving in line with the IP transformation to enable focus on management by
Category. This role will be accountable for providing procurement interface
and leadership to the US HR Products and Services stakeholders with HR.
Key aspects of the role include:-
• Engaging internal stakeholders globally in order to understand business
objectives and desired market related outcomes
• Involved in wide ranging planning cycles from short term to multi year
sourcing activities.
• Maintain and evolve the category strategy to factor market dynamics and
business requirements.
• Understanding options and risks associated with procurement/supply chain
activities
• Leading procurement projects including the negotiation of contracts &
commercial terms consistent with maximising business value for HR Products
and Services
• Building and managing supplier relationships
• Measuring / reporting the value delivered.
• Maintain, influence and develop relationships with the HR in the US.
• Drive the procurement agenda with the HR stakeholders and develop a deeper
business alignment in order to understand key HR objectives
• Responsibility for mentoring of less experienced team members.
Key
accountabilities
•
Compliance to and the updating of the category Strategy inline with market
forces and business plans.
• The development of sourcing strategies in alignment with global HR sector
strategies and specific business objectives
• Understands business requirements for third party goods and services
• Developing and maintaining knowledge of the HR services market place both
locally and globally.
• Engaging the business and provide guidance on PSCM process and risk
management
• Manages supplier relationships
• Leading the full sourcing process which includes development of scope,
supplier selection, commercial negotiation, and contract execution.
• Provides on-going contract cost management and risk assessment.
• Line accountability for sourcing specialist.
• Championing and supporting the deployment of the appropriate purchase to
pay solution.
• Ensuring the PSCM common processes are implemented, used and continually
improved.
• Coaching less experienced PSCM staff
• Participating in company networks, sharing information, best practices and
lessons learned.
• Interfacing where relevant with the Indirect Procurement Operations
Centre.
• Effectively/Optimize utilization of the offshore IP Procurement Operations
Center (POC) to deliver sourcing activities.
• Work closely with POC Service Delivery Leads and Service Delivery
Coordinators to assure Client Relationship Management assure POC sourcing
delivery to the business stakeholders.
Essential
criteria & qualifications
• MCIPS,
ISM, or equivalent
• Significant experience in Procurement in a blue chip environment
• Experience of working cross culturally
• Relevant HR procurement category experience
• Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships
