international and national oil companies. Our service network is organized
into 23 Geomarkets operating in 9 regions and 2 hemispheres. Region and
Geomarket management teams work to understand customer needs and coordinate
delivery of individual products and comprehensive service solutions that
include the right Baker Hughes technologies for the project.
Responsibilities: Provides leadership to commodity advisory boards and team
members. Manages the development of supply and negotiation strategies for
one or more commodities regionally. Manages all commodity team projects and
develops and manages all commodity contracts. Manages BHI and supplier
performance against established contracts and processes. Acts as the liaison
between suppliers and BHI divisions. Monitors and ensures compliance.
Maintains thorough knowledge of industry and commodity knowledge. Proposes
and implements improvements to sourcing policies. Budget responsibility for
the commodity team. Handles special projects as assigned.
Skill Requirements: Broad commodity sourcing knowledge. Demonstrated ability
to visualize and manage the implementation of creative solutions and respond
appropriately and timely to customer needs. Proven customer service, project
management, analytical, leadership, negotiation, problem solving, contracts
and financial skills. Solid change management and conflict management
skills. Excellent communications, facilitation and presentation skills.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 8+ years
relevant experience, including 2+ years supervisory or management
experience, 5+years sourcing and project management experience including
negotiation of business contracts.
