Full time position as the purchasing director for an entrepreneurial fresh beverage company. You will direct all the raw material and finished good purchasing, inventory and planning for our product line. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

Reports to: President & CEO

• Manage all company purchasing of ingredients, packaging, labels and ancillary materials for production.
• Build budgets and forecasting models for all purchased materials. Source and negotiate pricing of raw materials, packaging and labels.
• Implement sales inventory planning model for all raw materials and finished goods inventory. Set up and manage purchasing and inventory using current ERP system.
• Coordinate with sales forecasts to predict production demand. Generate and review reports to match sales to production and inventory.
• Plan and schedule production runs with manufacturing facility insuring all products are present for production runs.
• Pull product from current contracts, negotiate new contracts and follow the fruit and juice markets as well as other related raw material inputs.
• Implement quality control procedures for receipt, storage and handling of raw materials and finished goods.
• Establish incoming specifications for all raw materials and procedures for inspecting, rejecting and accepting materials.
• Establish proper reporting procedures for receipt of materials and billing of materials.
• Coordinate with shipping and receiving to insure 99.9% accuracy of outgoing shipping of orders.
• Coordinate closely with respective departments accounting, marketing, and sales to insure pricing, costing and billing is accurately maintained.
• Keep abreast of current trends and practices in the field of expertise.




Qualifications
• 3-5 years in a purchasing position preferably with experience purchasing agricultural products. Knowledge of fruit, juice and beverage market a plus.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Facility with numbers/math, highly analytical and excellent attention to detail.
• Experience managing finished goods and raw materials inventory.
• Resourceful individual who has strong negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational/time management skills, written communication and verbal skills.
• Must be dependable, flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize/multi-task at a high level and work on multiple deadlines.

Salary will Commensurate with Experience.
