Responsibilities
As Materials Manager, you will build direct relationships with global material vendors who supply to New Balance manufacturing or worldwide contract footwear factories to achieve improved quality, delivery, cost, corporate compliance and development support. You will establish processes to measure and report global demand for materials and develop a vendor certification program and a vendor performance report card system. As a key partner with development, sourcing, and purchasing, you will identify new vendors, rationalize the global vendor base, and implement six sigma quality and pull kanban replenishment programs.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree a plus.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in Materials Management and/or Purchasing. Footwear industry experience is helpful. Management skills are required.
Strong computer skills.
Superior negotiation and project management skills required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
